Safari Books Online
The book view of Safari Books Online

O'Reilly Books has a service called Safari Books Online. I don't know how new it is, but I just discovered it while looking for some PHP and MySQL books. I was a little leery at first, but as soon as I started using it, I quickly fell in love. After using it for a while, the love affair has cooled a bit, but I still use it almost daily and find it an invaluable resource. Let me tell you why.

Safari Books Online is a constantly growing collection of hundreds of thousands of technical books which you can access via your favorite web browser. Not only does it contain O'Reilly's entire catalog of books, but it also aggregates those from Addison-Wesley, Microsoft Press, Sams and others. Some it converts completely to HTML, others, where it isn't feasible, it displays in complete page layout form, so they look identical to the print version. I'll cover both the good and the bad.
