About Chris

Raised on the edge of Silicon Valley, Chris grew up among the high-tech explosion that began in the 1980’s. So it is not surprising that he developed an affinity for technology and personal computers in particular. In 1988, he answered the call to serve a mission for the LDS Church in the Florida Fort Lauderdale Mission. He spent two years from 1988 to 1990 living all over southeast Florida.

Upon returning home, Chris met Joan Curtis, with whom he had exchanged a few letters a couple of months before returning. An incredibly romantic courtship followed, culminating in their marriage the following year. Chris and Joan now live in Pennsylvania with their three children, Emily, Curt and Kevin. Raisin, the dog, rounds out the family.

Chris is now a Senior Programmer for BreakAway Games. Chris develops in C++ and C#, but he also knows Java and a smattering of other langugages.

Chris will die on Friday, June 28, 2041.

Joan

“Cold hands—warm heart.”
A natural blonde Venus, my wife Joan is a wonderful spouse and mother. She has put up with my habit of staying up late and playing on the PC until 4:00 a.m. for over sixteen years! She is a natural organizer and very talented hair stylist (call her if you need your hair done). She hardly ever loses her very large temper. Though she has ever-cold hands and feet, she has a very warm heart. Others have described her as having a golden heart. I couldn’t agree more.

Emily

A golden-haired beauty like her mother, Emily loves every species of animal in the world and they love her. She enjoys taking care of her pets, swimming and is enjoying learning the piano. She is an especially skilled actress. While she looks forward to learning to drive soon, her parents are trying to figure out how to pay for her college education.

Curt

His full name is Curtis, but he usually never gets called that unless he is in trouble. Then his full first, middle and last names are used. A natural jock, Curt is on his middle school's football team. Curt enjoys playing games with his dad and putting his life in danger by jumping down long flights of stairs and teasing his sister. When he grows up, Curt plans to be a famous surgeon.

Kevin

Kevin is the newest member of our family. He enjoys jumping on the trampoline, reading (yes, he reads, we don't know how he learned this) and playing video games with his big brother and dad. He loves being in kindergarten and riding the bus to and from school.
